Tom Dudley served as President since the company’s founding in 1980. Since October 2008 he served as CEO. At the time of the company’s founding in 1980 the oil and gas industry was booming, services were in high demand and efficiency was a much-needed commodity, Dudley saw a need for incorporating technology into the services he provided. Through the use of a relational database he reduced repetition, increased efficiency and saved his clients time and money. While many in the industry saw computers as cumbersome, TSDI embraced them as a valuable tool. In 1996, after many of his clients voiced a need to utilize his abilities, CALMS® software and services in the state of Texas, Dudley moved to Houston, Texas and opened our Houston office. He attended the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City University where he studied Business and Geology. Dudley is a Certified Professional Landman and is an active member of the AAPL, HAPL (North and West Houston Associations), OCAPL, TAPL, DAPL (Denver), DAPL (Dallas), PAPL, FSAPL, and the Panhandle Association of Professional Landmen.

Tom Havenstrite, CPL

Tom Havenstrite began his land career working for TSDI in 1984 as a field landman. He quickly advanced to Crew Chief, and served as Vice President from 1998. Recognizing the need for quality brokerage services in other regions, he opened our Denver office in 2000 and our Arkansas office in 2005. As of October 2008, Havenstrite assumed the responsibilities as President of TSDI, and has been instrumental in insuring that we bring quality landman into our organization. He promotes the highest quality training and success. Havenstrite earned a BSBA in Finance from the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1983. He is a Certified Professional Landman and is an active member in the AAPL, OCAPL, TAPL, FSAPL, DAPL (Denver), and the HAPL.

Russell Shaw, CPL

Area Land Manager – Eastern States

Russell Shaw began his land career in 1980 and has served as our Area Manager for Eastern States since 2006. Shaw joined TSDI in 2004 as a Prospect Manager handling projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. In 2005 several of our clients in other regions began to pursue projects in the Appalachian Basin and other Eastern States. Shaw was assigned to manage those projects and later took on the responsibility of establishing an office for this region. He has been instrumental in expanding the capabilities of our software to handle the conditions that exist in the Eastern States. Shaw has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1979. He is a Certified Professional Landman and an active member of the AAPL, NALA, MLBC, OCAPL, and the TAPL.

Ed McLain, CPL

Sr. Prospect Manager - Texas

Ed McLain began his land career in 1979. He worked as a TSDI Crew Chief beginning in 1997 and served as a Texas-based Prospect Manager since 1998. In April 2011 he was promoted to Senior Prospect Manager. McLain played a key role in establishing our presence in the Barnett Shale, where he opened and manages TSDI’s Fort Worth office. Currently McLain effectively divides his time between our Houston and Fort Worth Offices. McLain attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, and is a Certified Professional Landman with active memberships in the AAPL, HAPL, and the FWAPL.

Chris Gideon, CPL

Sr. Prospect Manager - Texas

Chris Gideon began his land career in 1976 and has served as one of our Texas- based Prospect Managers since January 2005. Prior to his appointment to Prospect Manager Gideon worked as a Crew Chief for TSDI. Gideon played a key role in opening, establishing and managing TSDI’s East Texas office located in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was promoted to Senior Prospect Manager in April 2011. Gideon attended Del Mar College and Howard Payne University. Gideon is a Certified Professional Landman and an active member of the AAPL, HAPL, DAPL, and the CCAPL.

Allen Fouty, CPL

Sr. Prospect Manager - Eastern States

Allen Fouty began his land career in 1979 and has served as one of our Eastern States-based Prospect Managers since October 2006. Prior to his appointment to Prospect Manager Fouty was a TSDI Field Landman in 2003 and then transitioned to Crew Chief for TSDI in 2005. He was promoted to Senior Prospect Manager in April 2011. Fouty attended Stephen F. Austin University where he received a BS in Business Management and Amberton University where he received a MS in Business Management. Fouty is a Certified Professional Landman and an active member in the AAPL and the IRWA.

Leroy Duff Sturgeon, RPL

Duff Sturgeon began his land career in 1990 and has served as one of our Arkansas based Prospect Managers since March 2006. Prior to his appointment as Prospect Manager, Sturgeon was a field landman in 2005, for TSDI. In 2005 Sturgeon played a key role in the establishment of TSDI’s Russellville, Arkansas office, which he currently manages. He attended Carol Albert Junior College and Eastern Oklahoma State College. Sturgeon is a Registered Professional Landman and an active member of the AAPL, FSAPL, HAPL, OCAPL, TAPL and the CALA.

Brandon Ward, RPL

Prospect Manager - Eastern States

Brandon Ward was the first participant in TSDI's Management Training program which led to his promotion to Prospect Manager in the Russellville, Arkansas, office in January of 2009. Ward transferred to the Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, office in January of 2010. Prior to becoming an employee of TSDI, Ward worked as a contract field landman beginning his land career in 2002. Ward is a Registered Professional Landman and an active member in the AAPL, MLBC, and NALA associations.

Stephen Carr

Prospect Manager – Pennsylvania

Stephen Carr began his land career as an Independent Contractor to TSDI in 2006, and was brought on as an employee in the capacity of Project Coordinator in 2009. Today, he serves as one of our Pennsylvania-based Prospect Managers working within the Appalachia (Marcellus) region. In addition to Pennsylvania, he has experience in West Virginia, New York, Ohio, and Illinois, with disciplines including; title, lease purchasing, ROW, due diligence, etc.  Carr attended The Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Currently, Carr is a Registered Professional Landmen of the AAPL, and member of NALA and the MLBC.

Rebecca Mickey

Prospect Manager – Colorado

Rebecca Mickey began her land career as a contractor with TSDI in 2007. Areas of assignment included; Arkansas, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and South Dakota. In 2010 she was promoted to Prospect Manager based in our Denver (Rockies) area. Prior to working with TSDI, Mickey held the position of City Attorney in Port Angeles, WA. Mickey has a BA from University California at San Diego, and a JD from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. Active memberships include; DAPL and the Washington State Bar Association.

Brent Broussard, CPL

Prospect Manager – Louisiana and Texas

Brent Broussard began his land career in 2003 and joined TSDI in 2004 as a field landman in the Nacogdoches ,Texas regional office. He then managed projects as Project Coordinator in Louisiana and Texas. Broussard quickly progressed through TSDI’s Management Training Program until being promoted to Project Manager in our Houston, Texas office in 2011. He is responsible for projects in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. Broussard attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he earned a BS in the Professional Land and Resource Management (PLRM) program. He is a Certified Professional Landman and an active member in the AAPL, ALTAPL, ETAPL and HAPL.

Brent Kimble

Prospect Manager – Mid-Continent

Brent Kimble began his land career with TSDI in 2005 as an independent landman focusing on Van Buren and White Counties, Arkansas. In June of 2010, he came in-house as a Project Coordinator and was promoted in November 2010 to Prospect Manager serving the Mid-Continent region. Prior to his land career, he spent 12 years in wholesale and retail financial sales, working primarily with financial institutions in the southeastern US. Kimble earned a BS from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and is an active member in the AAPL, OCAPL and TAPL.
